You bring a few simple details about your situation — never a NIN, BVN, passport number, bank or card details:

• The business or company name you're thinking of registering
• The entity type you intend to register (business name, limited company, incorporated trustees, etc.)

What this tool is not

NigeriaHowTo is an independent information website. We are not affiliated with any government agency, and this tool will never process your application or share your data with any agency. To be specific:

• It never asks for your NIN, BVN, passport number, bank account, card details, full date of birth or full address.
• It computes everything in your browser — there is no account, and nothing about you is stored or transmitted.
• It is not the official CAC availability search and cannot tell you if a name is already taken — only CAC can.
• It does not reserve or register the name, take payment, or connect to the CAC portal.
• A business name is not personal data; it asks for no identity numbers or personal details.
